 This website has been produced as part of an Odd Rode initiative to connect with mission and evangelism in the local community. Today's Church must face the challenges of contemporary society. The Church needs to find ways of connecting with people in ways that are relevant to them, by adapting to change and by making services and events as accessible as possible, whilst retaining the Church's valuable traditions and rich heritage. To this end, Odd Rode is committed to a vision of a mission-shaped church, where people are empowered, where individuals are able to use their gifts in the service of God and His Church, and where we are all able to grow both emotionally and spiritually, within the supporting framework of a loving community. We have produced a short booklet outlining our vision for the mission-shaped parish and detailing how you can get involved in God's mission to the wider community. The booklet, entitled "Mission and Evangelism in the parish of Odd Rode" is available at any of the three churches. Alternatively, please email us if you would like to be sent one. |
